Sara-Ann Pentenrieder

Sara-Ann (she/her) spent most lunch breaks going to as many yoga classes as possible. It wasn’t long before Sara-Ann found herself encouraging others to discover asana and how it can help rewire our learned pattens. By discovering how movement helped to release energy stuck within the body, Sara-Ann found herself developing a strong practice, helping her balance the everyday stress of healing a neck injury and working a stressful job. Yoga helped Sara-Ann to learn the value of self care and the correlation with how yoga allowed her to feel not only strong mentally and physically but also freeing her mind.

Sara-Ann dove deeply into studying the Yoga Sutras, finding support from her yoga community. Learning about the sutras gave perspective on the importance of giving yourself permission to start again. You can find little pieces of yoga philosophy and every day nuggets when attending any of Sara-Ann’s classes. When attending a class, expect to find an energizing yet grounding practice with options for all levels. Sara-Ann enjoys offering cues using blocks and other props along with the breath to help make class accessible in every body. You can expect to be provided with an upbeat playlist and opportunities to build confidence and tools that translate to life both on and off the mat.

When not at the studio, Sara-Ann enjoys spending time at home in the Champlain Islands, hiking around or hanging in her hammock. Sara-Ann is learning to enjoy skiing in the winter but ultimately prefers sunny days on the lake with good company.
