Sam Wuest

***Sam's offerings are currently on hiatus for the summer months***

Sam's classes are an attempt to show gratitude for the benefits gained from a dozen years of studying Qigong, Taiji (Tai Chi) and Internal Martial Arts. Compelled to dig deeper into the healing arts after an injury-riddled career as a professional athlete & coach, Sam found arts that fortify the practitioner's health, calm the mind, and nourish the spirit.

A journey that started with a chance seminar at his high school and has more recently included month-long immersion trainings with teachers such as Shifu Zhou Xuan Yun, Lindsey Wei and Tom Bisio, masters who live the teachings acquired directly from the Daoist ascetics and mystics of China's sacred Wudang Mountains rather than reducing it to mere words.

Working from a place of stillness, students will learn to activate the 3 Dantian (energy centers), find and remove blockages in their physical and energetic body, and build a sensitivity to the subtle energy of Qi. Leaving recharged, more aware of one's internal world while simultaneously more anchored when faced with the chaotic energies of daily living, Qigong and the internal arts are a way of connecting with the great Dao and becoming more deeply yourself.

An acupuncturist by day, Sam enjoys getting outside to move, cooking (well, mainly eating) and exploring the curiosity of the moment.
