Sage Horsey (they/them)

Sage Horsey is an east coast based choreographer, educator and performer originally from New York. They grew up training with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Gelsey Kirkland and Ulster Ballet Company. While studying at the Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet BFA program in 2012, Sage toured throughout California, Guatemala and Nicaragua with JUNTOS Collective as both a company member and assistant to the director for two years. By 2014, Sage had completed her RYT-300 certification under the tutelage of Djuna Smith and Tias Little, began teaching for the non-profit yoga organization Sangha Studio, and was a recipient of the Keshet Makers Space Experience residency in New Mexico. Sage returned to the east coast in 2016, performing works by Sidra Bell Dance New York, RUBBERBANDance Group and Gallim Dance Co. Sage then founded their company Tiny Kingdom Collective in 2018, followed by a national tour and several dance film releases. In 2020, Sage began training with Marion Crampe and shortly after established the first pole dancing curriculum at Lines Vermont Studio. As a full time instructor, Sage channels their passion for contemporary, ballet, pole and trauma informed yoga into any studio setting. Sage deeply believes in the power of approaching movement as a portal towards healing reclamation for the body, mind and spirit. They currently tour internationally with ethereal pop ensemble Acqua Mossa and as a guest artist with Queer-led NYC based company [Redacted]. Sage values collaboration and authenticity above all else and loves working with artists from around the world to bring new and diverse creative visions to life.
