Natalie Boyle

Natalie (she/her) first came to an Asana practice in 2015. It was a way to reconnect to her body after a debilitating herniated disk injury. Through private yoga sessions, she was able to mindfully and heartfully inhabit her physical form, and accept that sometimes it’s painful and other times it’s joyful.

Her own practice has evolved over the years. It once was spicy, heat-building, and asana-driven. But now, and especially since becoming a parent in 2020, her practice is about exploring the other 7 limbs of Patanjali’s Eight-Limb Path. Recently this means prolonged holds in restorative postures, pranayama, and pratyahara (sense withdrawal).

In much the same way as her personal practice does for her, Natalie holds space for her students to find their own way of being in the world. She strives for a heart-focused, anatomy-conscious flow with lots of options.

She completed her 200-hr teacher training at Heart of the Village Yoga in Manchester, VT in March 2020. In February 2023, she received certification in Restorative Yoga with Sarah Diedrick at Sangha Studio.

Natalie also holds an MFA in Poetry from Bennington College. Her writing practice and her yoga practice have so much in common that they can’t help influencing each other. Expect to hear poems, writerly musings, and other creative inspirations in her classes.

Natalie and her family live in Essex Junction. Off the mat, you can find her hiking in the woods, cooking in the kitchen, or playing on the floor with her young son.
