Monica Williams

👋 I am Monica Williams

My name is Monica Williams (she/her), and I am a dance artist, yoga teacher, and choreographer based in Los Angeles, currently residing in Omaha, Nebraska. As a dancer, movement has shaped my identity. Its allowed me to soften into vulnerability and openness. I believe deeply in its power to heal and build community, and I believe that movement is for everyone.

I am an alumni of Loyola Marymount University, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and got the chance to work, study, and perform around the world. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I began studying with Lila Flow Yoga’s 200hr teacher training, and I am now a Yoga Alliance certified instructor. In exploring the balancing philosophies and practices of yoga, I've begun to rediscover parts of myself I had lost touch with during quarantine. Yoga has helped me navigate a journey of eternal learning, listening, and action. I am excited to share my magic with my students, in hopes they will find strength, release, healing, and some magic of their own along the way.

As a teacher, my mission is to help others feel good in their own minds and bodies, to share from a place of love and empathy, and to empower my students to find a sense of individual agency that influences their lives off the mat. I aim to create a safe, accessible space that welcomes all bodies, backgrounds, and identities. I teach open level vinyasa flow classes and guided meditations that focus on breath control, anatomy & alignment, mobility-building, and restorative practices.
