Michelle Nayeli Bouvier
Michelle ‘Nayeli’ Bouvier is a Prana Vinyasa™ Yoga Teacher Trainer, Certified Yoga Therapist, Hoopdance pioneer, Advanced Certified AcroYoga Teacher, Thai Massage Practitioner, and dancer devoted to the art and science of embodiment (definitely a body nerd!). Teaching everywhere since 2000, Michelle has accumulated nearly 4000 hours of training, specializing in the sustainability of the body for yoga and for all we do in life!
Grateful for her many teachers, Michelle has been most influenced by her depth of training with Shiva Rea, Tias Little, John Friend, and Tim Miller (yoga), Christopher Wallis and Christopher Tompkins (Tantrik philosophy and practice), Frey Faust, Gil Hedley, and Tom Meyers (anatomy and movement). Michelle continues to study Ayurveda and The Axis Syllabus (a lexicon of principles derived from anatomy, physics, and biomechanics, which teach safety, efficiency, and sustainability- applicable to all human movement).
Michelle has always been a pioneer; part of the beginnings of AcroYoga and Hoopdance, and an innovator of Hoop Vinyasa℠ (online on Yoga Alchemy) and Mandala Vinyasa. Now bringing together Tantrik roots of embodied yoga with modern movement science, Michelle's mission is to encourage students and teachers to question everything, including ideas about linear alignment. With the blessing of her Maha teacher and friend, Shiva Rea, Michelle’s brings circular & rhythmic movement to yoga asana and vinyasa, as well as new ways to relate to practice through her Movement as Medicine offerings.
Michelle maintains a private practice specializing in customized yoga, movement and lifestyle routines to support healthy movement patterns, resilience within the body-mind, and overall vitality through living in rhythm with Nature.
