HOW I TEACH: In a Fusion Yoga Style that combines  Alignment, Slow Flow and Kundalini with deep relaxation and meditation.

I have decades of experience teaching yoga, training teachers and developing my own yoga practice while studying cultural ideas and needs regarding yoga. I am registered both as a Teacher and a Yoga School and offer classes and retreats that are accessible to ALL people.

SPECIALITY: I have extensive training in  yoga for fertility and pregnancy that supports the mother, the baby’s experience and the mother-baby bond.  I developed my signature prenatal yoga program, The Prenatal Yoga Method™ which aligns with the principles of APPPAH and The American Medical Association’s “Guide for Exercise During Pregnancy”. Through my own pregnancies and my observations as a teacher, I have seen that women practicing yoga before pregnancy and/or during pregnancy thrive with vitality, happiness and inner strength creating an optimal environment for themselves and their baby.

MY TEACHERS: I had the blessing to meet and study with many of the founders of what can be referred to as Modern Postural Yoga, including BKS Iyengar & Geeta Iyengar (Founders of Iyengar yoga), Sharon Gannon and David Life (Founder of Jivamukti Yoga), Dharma Mitra (Founder Dharma Yoga Center), Yogi Bhajan (Founder of Kundalini yoga), and Swami Kriyananda (Direct disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda and Founder of Ananda yoga). There have been other very important teachers who are lesser known, including my own students.

CREDENTIALS:I currently hold the following credentials with Yoga Alliance: E-RYT® 200, RYT® 500, RPYT®, YACEP®.  In 2009, I was among the first to write a prenatal yoga teacher training curriculum that was honored by Yoga Alliance. This allowed me to found a credentialed Prenatal Yoga School (PYS) and gives my students the opportunity to be Registered Prenatal Yoga Teachers (RPYT). My students teach world wide in their own communities the principles that I follow and teach.

I have a BA from UC Berkeley, am certified by the Rudolf Steiner college in Administration for Spiritually-based Organizations, completed the certification process for Mindfulness-Based Childbirth and Parenting Training for Health Professionals at UCSF Osher Center, graduated with high marks as a PPNE ~ Prenatal and Perinatal Educator from the Association of Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology and Health (APPPAH), where I am also an active member.

I was the co-founder and owner of Yoga Garden of San Francisco from 2004-2019.

I am the mother of two teenage daughters,  a native Californian and I currently live in Florence, Italy.
