👋 I am Kat Reese
Kat Reese (200hr CYT) began practicing yoga in 2010 as a way to improve her dancing as she pursued her BFA in dance at Rutgers University. Over time, yoga came to be its own separate passion that could stand apart from just a means to train for dance performance. Both the physical and the philosophical aspects of Kat's yoga practice have had a great influence on her dance performance as well as her approach to teaching dance. Throughout her six years of teaching dance, Kat has also been hired for private yoga instruction for beginner yogis, dancers, and people dealing with chronic injuries. She also teaches group yoga classes for senior citizens. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher certification with Lila Flow Yoga in July 2020. As a teacher, Kat emphasizes anatomical safety, acceptance of all students just as they are, and the openness to try new things!
