Kara Goldstein

I was born and raised in Santa Monica, CA where I was fortunate at a young age to experience many yoga classes taught by some of the world’s most renowned teachers. My appreciation for yoga grew during my time in college in Miami, FL where my over exercising led to a need to take better care of my body. This is when I fell in love with yoga as my Sunday ritual. After graduation, I moved to New York City where bartending and auditioning gifted me with anxiety and back pain. I started a home yoga practice to stay afloat. In 2006, I left acting to follow this new spiritual life raft. I became certified in Vinyasa Flow by Stephanie Keach in Asheville, NC and Holistic Flow by Saul David Raye in Venice, CA. My passion for all things healing led to certifications in both Thai Massage and Prenatal Yoga and training in Stott Pilates. To me, yoga is the journey back to one’s own truth, light and connection to love. It’s a hard, beautiful and personal process that unites us all. Using pranayama, asana and meditation, I gently guide students to align and heal the body, mind and spirit. In my immense gratitude to Yoga Soup, I hope to assist in bringing what yoga has given me to the world.
