Jamie Lugo

Born and raised in Northern California, Jamie jumped at the opportunity to explore SoCal life as an undergrad the University of California, Irvine. She graduated in 2006 with degrees in both dance and psychology and moved to NYC with intentions to pursue a career in dance.  Jamie soon came to an honest crossroads - her body could no longer take the intensity of life as a dancer. Instead, she dedicated more time to deepening her yoga practice. After her first teacher training at Pure Yoga in 2010, Jamie began teaching immediately.

Jamie is heavily influenced by the teachings of Pema Chödrön, Caroline Myss, Michael Singer, and Iyanla Vanzant and pretty much anything that makes her change her perspective… Self-study, asana, meditation and philosophy all inform her daily practice and teaching. You can expect a mixture of these qualities in her classes as well as an inspiring playlist.

In addition to teaching private, public and corporate classes she is a guest teacher on Yoga for Bad People retreats.

Jamie is also Certified Co-Active Life Coach. In 2018, She began studying the Co-Active Model, which aims to balance the being and doing aspects of peoples live to lead them into a life of fulfillment and purpose. Jamie coaches private clients and leads coaching and yoga workshops which combine her two passions. She is eternally grateful for Henry Kimsey-House and Karen Kimsey-House, creators of the Co-Active Coaching Method as she truly believes it has the potential to change the world.
