Gwen Rodgerson (she/her)
Gwen discovered yoga in high school where she mostly practiced with DVDs at home and since then has found her yoga-home at donation-based studios both in NYC and Vermont. Gwen has found the value of a gentle, self compassionate yoga practice and offers lots of variation, and choose your own adventure options in class. She incorporates breathwork, embodiment, and encourages students to go inward and listen to their bodies, accepting themselves as they are each day. Gwen believes anyone can be a yogi - it's not about how flexible or strong you are, but rather your willingness to sit with feelings, breathe, and play in the present moment!
In 2018, Gwen received her 200-Hour RYT in Costa Rica in Hatha Yoga through the Center for Natural Living. This has informed her style of teaching to be rooted in yoga's tradition, offering well rounded classes that incorporate movement and meditation. Gwen has found yoga to be a key anchor in moving through anxiety, difficult emotions, and her journey of healing and sobriety. Her goal as a teacher is to create a grounding space in which to explore breath, sensations, and connect with the body and each practitioner's inner truth.
Gwen believes "yoga" can be found everywhere! She finds most peace in the woods and by the water, horseback riding, gardening, and traveling to beautiful places. She currently lives in Starksboro, Vermont with her husband, and their two cats.
