Dr. Forrest began in his formative years as an athlete and continued to play collegiate level football at Florida Atlantic University. After injury sustained from football in 2013, he hung up the cleats and began his career as a personal trainer. Forrest focused on coaching high level athletes and was introduced to mindfulness and yoga around the same time. Shortly after becoming a student himself, Forrest realized his passions didn’t include just practicing, but also teaching. He finished his 200 hour teacher training in Fort Myers, Florida in June of 2016. Since then, Forrest has taught an array of styles as well as handstand and strength focused workshops. In 2017, Forrest relocated to Asheville where he continued teaching at Asheville Yoga Center. He took a short break from teaching to obtain his Doctorate of Physical Therapy and is now back to teaching yoga, coaching at a local gym, and working as a cash-based physical therapist.
