I often come to the mat because life can be challenging and I crave the peace, wisdom, and strength that I find from breathing and sitting with myself. Since I began my yoga journey my practice has shifted from wanting to do all the crazy hard yoga poses to being more interested in strengthening my body and what's happening in the subtle body. When I began teaching in 2016, I focused on teaching Gentle Yoga. For me gentle yoga is more than stretching and taking it easy, in fact, it's not always easy to take gentle classes. What gentle yoga asks of us is to practice being gentle with yourself, and to see if you can slow down enough to truly honor your body, heart, and mind for where you are today and meet yourself there.
