Elizabeth Heller

đź‘‹ I am Elizabeth Heller

Elizabeth Heller believes the practice of yoga—connecting breath with body sensation—is a paradigm for the practice of living. She credits the practice of yoga for the shift in how she lives her life, especially her ability to navigate stress and challenge. Offering these benefits to her yoga students is her greatest joy. Through a mix of gentle opening, mindful flow, and intentional opportunities for challenge, she creates a class structure that invites and supports individual observation for what a student needs in the moment. Her hope is that each student continuously define and refine the truest path to themselves.

Elizabeth is an ERYT-200 Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher and has intensive training in therapeutic yoga, trauma-informed yoga, prenatal yoga, and children’s yoga. She teaches adults, children, and those with disabilities in the Boston-area and in the Brookline public schools.

She is also the creator and executive producer of a kids yoga television program called MagicMat Kids, which airs on public access television in Brookline and is accessible anywhere on her YouTube channel @MagicMatKids. She offers kids playful classes and fun tools for mindfulness, awareness, and self-regulation that they can utilize for a lifetime. Elizabeth is the author/co-author of eight books for and about children and she spends her spare time creating new adventures for both her yoga classes and her personal journey.
