👋 I am Daniel Kuja
I began martial arts training at 8 years old and connected immediately with “the way”; loving the combination mental and physical discipline. I practiced voraciously, often 6-8 hours a day and was eventually teaching classes to adults and children at about twelve years old.
In addition to martial arts, I love to play music and snowboard. I discovered yoga in 2009 as a way to supplement my Aikido and Zen practices. Yoga quickly rose in importance to me has now become my primary study. I attended Teacher Training at Yoga Garden SF and graduated from both the 200 and 500 hour programs.
My classes are built on flowing sequences, often interwoven with theme and music. Grounded in deep feeling in the body and moving the subtle energetics. I teach with compassion, intuition, and non-judgment to guide students to find their own practice within the frame of the class.
For the past several years I have been focusing on adult development and performance both mental and physical and am a certified Human Performance Coach through the Flow Genome Project.
