I passionately believe in the power of yoga to cultivate a calm mind, develop more freedom of movement and strength, and discover that we can actually feel better as we age.
l began practicing yoga in 2006, during a particularly challenging period in my mid-life. By coincidence – or not – I tried a Yin yoga class and instantly felt at home. The breath work, deep stretching, and inner awareness of Yin helped me find peace, and eventually led me to more active yoga practices, balancing flexibility with alignment and strength. The more I practiced yoga, the better I felt, body, mind and soul.
I’ve been told many times that I was born to teach, and after a long career in music education, administration, and performance, I couldn’t wait to become a yoga teacher. I completed my 200-hour certification with Ame Wren and the Boston Yoga School in 2019.  My classes always include a gentle warm-up, slow, mindful movement, and longer-held postures, emphasizing careful listening to the body to find balance between effort and ease. I love teaching yoga, and am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) with Yoga Alliance.
