Betsy is a Personal trainer, Group fitness and spinning instructor. She has been teaching a variety of classes in the southern Maryland area for 13 years. Her passion for all things fitness started when she became a stay-at-home mom and was looking to increase her physical and mental health to be the best mom possible to her daughter. She joined the gym to find like-minded individuals and soon discovered that she wanted to evolve from student to teacher. For many years she taught intense classes, hard hitting and heavy weights but has over the last few years decided that Yoga and lower impact lifting with a splash of HIIT practices are where she needs to be. Betsy is a stickler for good form. You will often hear her say “Quality over Quantity”! She loves meeting people where they are in their fitness journey and helping them get where they want to be. She encourages her students to be a little selfish. Meaning it’s ok to take the time needed to keep yourself mentally and physically healthy, because you can give more to others when you are at your best.
Outside of fitness Betsy is a wife and mother of a high school daughter who keeps her super busy with cheerleading and competitive horseback riding. She has two fur baby rescue pups that are spoiled rotten and a beautiful OTTB Horse named Atlas. She works for a local Government contractor as a Project Analyst and enjoys traveling and spending lots of time with family and friends.
She is excited to bring this new element to the Evolve schedule! There are options for everyone, and all levels are welcome. The strength and HIIT class is going to be a perfect complement for all Yogis!
