In a culture of scarcity where nothing is ever enough, yoga has given me the courage and freedom to embrace my truth. My goal has been to give students the tools they need to enhance their own lives with yoga and to find their internal powers, just as yoga has done for me. Lead through  ancient wisdom, to our contemporary western world in a useful and understandable way. Yoga found me over a decade ago, when life seem to be a tornado, and life has not been the same since.

With a 200-hour RYT certification covering Yin, meditation, prenatal, trauma sensitive, & Vinyasa, plus an additional 150-hour in Yin. I am so fortunate to have amazing mentors, plus additional influences in my life that have guided me in my role as a teacher. Also with a background in bodywork therapy, I am confident in bringing years of my therapy knowledge into my teachings. Using the physical body as a medium to the only thing this practice is invested in; the ability and the art of letting go. With combined therapy, meditation, and yoga practices I use them as tools to transport students not just in their physical bodies but also help them connect to the universe at large.

Beyond yoga I am an advocate for many things, but mostly the mental health in women of color. Helping to navigate life by sharing tips and techniques to support women as they create room for healing, growth, change. Banishing toxic habits, and incorporating different healing modalities for a cohesive, coherent connection to the mind, body and spirit. Most recently I've co-founded a community called “Brwn Girl Talk”  a social collective platform that creates space for healing and celebration for women across the African diaspora.”

I hope that my work continues to strengthen my connection to others and If only just one, let it be meaningful.

~ May you continue to live with an open mind and a brave heart
