Andrea Lodico

I found yoga through a lifetime of dance and since 2004, the practice has been a source of joy and calm within the hustle in NYC. In my teaching, I hope to share the passion and peace I feel on my mat and provide students with an environment in which they uncover new understanding, vibrant presence, and ease. My classes are infused with playfulness and dynamic, breath-centered sequencing in which students move from a strong foundation of alignment. The aim is to create a pathway for movement, breath, and self-inquiry so students can gain insight, bolster their strength, and ultimately, step into their lives with more ease and clarity.

I am filled with gratitude for my teachers and the community that yoga has brought into my life, having completed my 200-hour training at mang’Oh yoga in 2014 and my 500-hour in 2017 at Boston Yoga School with Ame Wren and Kevin Courtney. I received a 75-hour advanced certification on the "Art of Teaching Kula" through Kula and The Sacred Fig with Nikki Vilella and Anton Brandt in 2019. I co-founded The Yoga Life Retreats with my dear friend Sara Blumenkranz, which offers both destination and virtual retreats and am also the Director of mang'Oh yoga's Teacher Training.

I've been unrolling my mat at Kula for years as a student. I deeply appreciate the abundant inspiration from the Kula community and am so honored to teach here.
