Abigail Irlbeck, M.A. & RYT

👋 I am Abigail Irlbeck, M.A. & RYT

Growing up, I danced regularly as well as participated in gymnastics so when I moved to Omaha, NE for college in 2011, choosing to do yoga seemed like a logical transition. I was accustomed to a lot of physical activity and wanted to continue that in college. In 2012, I found One Tree Yoga and solely practiced the hot yoga Bikram series. In 2016, I decided to explore other styles of yoga. With the addition of Vinyasa and Hatha yoga in my practice, I felt physically and emotionally well and my curiosity for yoga grew immensely. I decided to pursue teacher training in the fall of 2016 at One Tree Yoga in Omaha, NE and completed my RYT-200 in May of 2017 with Gabrielle Hopp, E-RYT-500, Co-Owner of One Tree Yoga and Alison King Tigges, E-RYT-500, Co-Owner of One Tree Yoga. Since the completion of my training, I have taught yoga in a variety of settings including a studio setting, a university, and a corporate office. I have more than 100 additional hours of training in anatomy and alignment-based yoga. I believe yoga is a life practice and requires consistent attention and life-long learning. My husband and I moved to Denver, CO in June of 2019 and soon after, I started teaching for the Kindness Collective. More recently, I have been teaching online using the live features of Union through the Kindness Collective. I primarily teach Foundations and Align & Flow classes.

Wellness has been at the heart of my studies since 2011. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Public Health in 2015 as well as my Master of Arts in Health Behavior in 2018 from the University of Nebraska Omaha. I enjoy how my background in health education intertwines with the principles of yoga. Thus, my classes are rooted in the advancement of overall health and well-being for my students. My classes are intentionally sequenced and provide students with many opportunities to develop greater awareness of the breath, body, and mind.
