Yoga has been part of my life since 1985 when at the age of 23 I found a practice that I would explore and modify for years to come as I worked through my own stuff. I have found that with a self-forgiving approa...
Use this practice to help you access your already healed, whole, and peaceful mind. It's there, waiting to be known. We do not have to learn to calm the mind, for that is controlling and manipulative. We have to trust that we have one, split mind and that it's a matter of joining with the peaceful part, or choosing against the non-peaceful part of the mind. Yoga joins and joining is healing. This class opens with strong combined leg and shoulder work. Pace yourself and let your peaceful mind guide you. It's how we begin to know it. There's some standing work at the wall before we finish with legs up the wall. It's sure to bring you closer to peace. Namaste.

This is where the magic happens. Green classes make up the majority of the Avita practice because this is where the healing happens. Green classes take a reductionist approach to yoga so that neither the body nor the mind is overwhelmed. In fact, the soothing pressure induces the healing process. You will come to know it as a healing sensation. With a little time and practice, you may be drawn to the Avita Orange classes.
