Despite the background of suffering, the human being has the divine capacity to transcend.  This bears reminding because of our proclivity to hurt ourselves and betray what is important to us. So let us do the good work of articulating and living out what is of value; meaning is the instinct that orients us in life.
 
Self-care is self-love and self-responsibility. So, treat yourself like you matter; lift your eyes above the horizon and contemplate on things that are noble and of value and take care of yourself physically, emotionally, and mentally.
