Gu means darkness. Ru means dispeller. Whatever dispels ignorance, unawareness or darkness is a guru. The breath shows us when we are agitated, stressed, happy or at rest. It shows us the way of self-regulation. Join me for a practice of awareness. Feeling and sensing what is off and letting go of the encumbrances to our aliveness. Shoulder, core, and strength-based vinyasa flow that focuses on changing your weight and finding mechanical coherence and ease and peace of mind.

Vinyasa is a dynamic system of practicing asana by linking breath to continuous movement in sequence. This style of yoga builds heat, endurance, flexibility, and strength through focused concentration. An attentive ear and some knowledge of basic yoga postures is recommended to keep pace with the flow. Sequencing is often built around sun salutations, and may vary with teacher. Students are encouraged to modify and take variations if needed.
