UZIT's mission is to improve the well-being of individuals
What is UZIT?
- We teach simple and effective self-care techniques that promote relaxation, creativity and focus
- We move towards balance, ease and joy through non-pharmaceutical integrative practices
- We utilize the combination of four unique modalities: Yoga, Essential Oils, Reiki and Presence: Practice & Application
- We offer potent and portable tools that increase the capacity for growth, compassion and kindness
- We connect with ourselves and inspire others through community care
- We reorient the individual and world towards comfort, happiness and peace
- UZIT was founded by Donna Karan, Colleen Saidman Yee and Rodney Yee
- UZIT is pronounced "use it"
How does UZIT work?
- UZIT practices promote a sense of centering, calm and joy by integrating four supportive modalities: Yoga, Reiki, Essential Oils and Presence
- UZIT can be experienced in-person or online through classes, 1-on-1 sessions, self-care workshops and community-care programs
- UZIT’s self-care workshops were designed by Colleen Saidman Yee, Rodney Yee, Marcia Miller, Tracy Griffiths and Mary Taylor
- RELIEF is Rest, Ease, Levity, Integrate, Energize and Focus
Who can UZIT? Are there any enrollment requirements?
- UZIT is for anyone. No experience is necessary. No enrollment requirements
- UZIT is for everyone and every day
- UZIT’s self-care practices and community-care programs are intended to restore, reconnect and rebalance at home, work or in any setting
- UZIT is also for anyone who is exhausted, anxious, in pain or not feeling as vital or creative as one can be
- Module 1 and 2 can be completed non-sequentially. i.e., you can complete Module 2 before Module 1
What are the requirements to become a certified UZIT Practitioner?
- You must complete 6 modules to become a certified UZIT Practitioner

Modules 1 and 2: Self-Care
- UZIT Practitioner training program - R.E.L.I.E.F.
- two weekend workshops and eight mentor sessions (breakouts)
- Homework during program
- Un-graded oral and written assessments are requirements in order to earn a certificate AND must be completed 6 weeks after the program ends

Modules 3 and 4: Caring-For-Others
- We are currently updating the curriculum to follow R.E.L.I.E.F.

Modules 5 and 6: Clinical Rotations
- specialize and spend time in the community that you will serve, e.g., corporate, medical, schools, veterans organizations, non-profits, government departments (city, state, federal), corrections facilities, etc
- For each module, after fulfilling the requirements, you will receive a certificate of completion for that module. After completing the requirements of Modules 1 through 6, you will receive a certificate with your name as a certified UZIT Practitioner

Modules 1 and 2: Self-Care
- You must complete 6 modules to become a certified UZIT Practitioner
- What is the difference between previous UZIT trainings (2007-19) and this new one?
- Previous UZIT trainees, who completed the training programs and certification requirements from 2007-19, will be grandparented after assessment. Please inquire at info@uzit.org
- We introduce R.E.L.I.E.F. with P.A.N.I.C.
- We have consolidated and refined the modalities, but the trainings will be very similar
- The UZIT certification has shifted from a year-long training program into six modules to become a practitioner. If you are beginning training in 2022, upon completion of Modules 7 and 8, you will be certified to teach UZIT trainees
