Tech Neck is not a technical diagnosis, it’s a modern affliction that so many of us suffer symptoms from due to excessive time on screens. The estimate is that humans from age 8 to 80 spend 3-8 hours on their phones daily. The best remedy of getting rid of these small devices is not a likely solution. Our next best defense is to double down on self-care practices to address the myofascial, skeletal and neural wear and tear that has occurred and build up strength to prevent postural shifts down the road. This class provides a surplus of self-massage and strengthening exercises to use as daily tech hygiene.

Props used in this class: Coregeous Ball, ALPHA Twinset, Therapy Ball PLUS Pair, YTU Therapy Balls, 2 Blocks

After doing the Tech Neck & Shoulder Reset class, we recommend you also do the following classes from the Replay Library:

This class includes any postural and positional challenges to help supplement the reconnections gained in the Tech Neck Class. Use this class as a whole body complement to the upper-body focused lesson.

In the next phase of MOVE, BREATHE, ROLL, Jill focuses on common myths and misperceptions of practice that still persist in yoga and movement classrooms today. Each class tackles a myth that unrolls like a sticky mat when you filter it through anatomy, kinesiology and physiology. Join Jill on this fun myth-busting journey that also translates into other popular movement forms including pilates, CrossFit and Instagram Inspo. Each class will attempt to unpack a myth from a historical/contextual lens and take you through Tune Up Fitness movement practices that help your body to be a lab of curiosity, discovery and mirth.
