In this posture lab, the theme of Dharana (concentration) is a consistent through-line in this balance-driven practice. The class will begin with a brief explanation of the 5th Limb of Yoga and an opening prayer of intention. The props recommended for this practice are a wall, block, chair, and strap and the sequence includes Downward Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana), Standing Forward Bend (Uttansana), Tree Pose (Vrksasana), Triangle Pose (Trikonasana) using the wall, Standing Spread Legged Forward Bend (Prasarita Padottanasana), Side Plank Pose (Vasisthasana) on a chair, Extended Hand to Big Toe Pose (Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana) with chair and without, One-Legged Side Plank Pose (Eka Pada Vasisthasana), Wide-Angle Seated Forward Bend (Upavishta Konasana), Bound Angle Pose (Baddha Konasana), Trataka meditation (candle gaze), Om Namah Shivaya mantra, Corpse Pose (Savasana) and a closing prayer of gratitude.
