Mary Masson (she/her/hers)

Mary came to love the practice of yoga about 15 years ago, while looking for a movement-based practice during a busy time of working and raising three children with her husband. She has been a Nurse Practitioner for many years and has always been inspired by seeing the connection between the mind, body and spirit. She loves to share the ways movement and intentional breath benefit our personal and collective wellbeing, and she finds that yoga offers this gift. She looks forward to the chance of moving and breathing with others in community at the end of a busy day. She received her RYT 200-hour training from Sangha Studio in Burlington, Vermont in June, 2023.

Her slow and strong approach to her classes emphasizes the importance of drawing on meditation, breath work and movement that will both add some grounding practices as well as encourage some fun flow! She wants to share her practice with those new to yoga as well as longtime practitioners, knowing that practicing together, as a community, enhances our love of this practice.

Mary feels like yoga can be a lifelong practice that is accessible to all, as she has completed training through the Accessible Yoga School, and her class will often feature variations on poses. She feels that all folks can benefit from the pose without risk of injury or discomfort. Yoga should be fun and feel like a gift to yourself! Her hope is that you will leave the class feeling both restored and eager to return and practice together soon!
