Jenny Lowell

Jenny (she/her) had been practicing yoga for around ten years before pursuing her Yoga Teaching Training certification in 2017. She was an avid Sangha student and feels proud of moving up to teach at her favorite studio in Burlington, VT. 

She started her teaching training at a Backcountry Yoga retreat in New Hampshire, where she was the only non-YTT guest and felt grounded and inspired after the week to learn the tools of a yoga practice for herself. 

Her formal teacher training continued in India, where she pursued her 200-hour registered yoga teacher certification at Kashish Yoga in Goa, India. Here she learned cleansing techniques, meditation, and the medicine that yoga provides. She originally traveled to India to try to find herself again and relieve her body and mind of PTSD, and it was there that she found her peace and her pace! Jenny emphasizes slow movement in her classes, in hopes of helping others slow down their minds, find their strength, and relax.

Students can expect time to breath, time to explore, and time to deepen in every pose offered in Jenny's classes. She wants to help others feel good and at peace, in the way that she was able to from the yoga instruction that she received. Her classes offer an upbeat and welcoming atmosphere, where everyone can feel comfortable having their own individual experience along with the bonding energy our practice brings. Whether it's your first time at Sangha, first time on the mat, or you're a seasoned member... Jenny's class will feel like family and you're likely to make at least one new friend ;)
