Heather Pearson (she/her)
Heather Pearson (she/her) has been leading movement group classes since 2008. She completed her first 200 hour yoga teacher training in the spring of 2015 with Paul Toliuszis in Miami Beach, FL. Her love of movement through asana was enhanced with a deep connection to the collective consciousness. Heather completed 300 training hours in early 2020 with Cilla and Noah Weisman at Sukha Yoga in Burlington, VT. At Sukha, Heather learned ancient Tantric techniques of traditional Hatha yoga and the philosophy and lifestyle of Bhakti. She discovered her love for harmonium and enjoys chanting in her classes. From 2020 through the fall of 2021, Heather completed another 500 hour yoga training in the LYT method with Lara Heimann, from Princeton, NJ. This opened her eyes to the importance of posture and she learned how to sequence intelligently, paying close attention to alignment for a sustainable practice.
Heather started teaching at Sangha Studio in 2015 and is so happy to be a part of the community! Her flow classes are joyful and strong, and her restorative classes are grounding and nourishing. She loves a theme and her appreciation for music is apparent with her carefully crafted playlists, which are an important part of her classes. Her goal is to empower students to move optimally and connect with their inner teacher and strength. Always a student, she has enjoyed training with Anodea Judith, Seane Corn, Michelle Cassandra Johnson and Eckhart Tolle, to name a few. And she looks forward to learning from you!
