Caitlin Morgan (she/her)
Caitlin Morgan (she/her) is a full-time creative and lifelong student of the body. Her yoga journey began when her high school dance teacher wove a weekly asana and meditation practice into class. The balance, strength, and confidence this routine instilled in her as a performer inspired Caitlin to take up her own personal yoga study which she continued through adulthood, culminating in her 200hr YTT from Sangha Studio in 2023.
She believes strongly that nurturing one’s sense of embodiment and relationship with Self is an act of environmental justice; the more connected we are with our own bodies, the more we can see and empathize with our connection to all living entities—fauna, flora, and otherwise. To this end, she strives to weave in ecological imagery, creative transitions, and invitations for each individual to ground inward and get curious about their subtle body. She honors the satisfaction of a highly physical practice, and equally works to challenge the masculine, often submissive facets of athleticism with opportunities for intuitive inquiry, rest, and free-form expression.
Caitlin was grateful to find Sangha when she moved to Burlington from NYC at the end of 2021. Still healing at the time from a knee injury that forced her to take a step back from her professional dance career, the patience, sincere acceptance, and renewed love of movement that she found at the studio (and throughout Vermont) is something she is forever grateful for. In addition to her yoga training, Caitlin holds a dual BFA in Dance and BA in English, has been teaching dance for thirteen years, and (off the mat) is a freelance book editor, choreographer, and marketer.
