After moving to Tribeca twenty years ago, I stumbled upon a premie Kula on the way to the train. I went, was hands down hooked by the first hip opener, and the rest is history. I started teaching at Kula in 2005 ...
(Suggested props: 2 blankets or towels rolled together or a bolster. 1 block if you have it but not big deal if you don't).
 
You have side bodies on your hips as well as your waist. This class brings intelligence into both, as it taps into strengthening as well as lengthening. You will bring this work into your backbends!
