Bit-O-Honey (45 min): Liberate the Whole Chest, Express the Whole Breath
(Suggested props: 2 blocks, blanket, bolster or pillow & strap or straplike object)
One of my favorite practices is side body opening, add in opening the front and back of the chest for a 360 degree experience and you'll be in breath heaven! We wrap up the asana with 3 pigeon variations and then it's luxuriating in the breath for the rest of class. Bon appetit!
(Int) Sometime you have a hankering for something small and just sweet enough. Schuyler brings you a nibble of the classic Honey Flow. Half of class is slow but steady Kula style progressive flow (note bien: this is a chaturanga free zone). The second half is longer holds with resonance breathing, wrapped up with pranayama, Yoga Nidra, or guided meditation.
Not a particularly nutritious class - but highly addictive! (We suggest that you have plenty of props at the ready. Couch cushions and blankets from your bed will do - but it might also be time to invest in a full set of proper yoga props! You can also cue up an eye pillow, lavender oil and someone to rub your feet in Savasana.)
