Kula Flow: Wall & Floor As Props (Triangles & Padangusthas)

Aired -

1h 22m
(Suggested props: 2 blocks and 1-2 straps. If you have a yoga chair grab it, if not no big deal we use it for one down dog only).

We start class at the wall, and use the wall and the floor as our props. There is a chance for an early handstand at the wall if you want it (or not!) and then we move to the middle of the room for namsakras and standing poses. A supported backbend follows, with an option to close with headstand, more backhanding or seated forward folds.

(Int/Adv) Kula Flow is vinyasa (or flow) style yoga with an emphasis on creativity and alignment. Classes are inventive and thoughtful sequences of sun salutations, standing & seated postures, back bending, and inversions—guided by a steady breath to tone and calm the mind. Most teachers also use bandha work to open and strengthen the inner body. (Classes differ in tone and vigor depending on the teacher, so if you have special needs/interests please contact [email protected]) For students with a regular yoga practice.
