Insight Meditation and the Forces at Play in Our Lives: #8 Dharma Talk: Joseph Goldstein

Aired -

1h 29m
Webinar Format (During program sessions, you will be able to see and hear the teacher, but you cannot see or hear other program participants).

This retreat will present teachings for different levels of practice, both for newer and more experienced students.

In this course, Joseph Goldstein will be offering two new talks on what the Buddha called mental proliferation – that is, the forces of craving, conceit and wrong view – how they shape the world of our experience, and the remedies for them. Joseph has been on retreat for the last three months and is looking forward to sharing his exploration.

Roxanne Dault will explore the land of courage and wise effort in practice, and will also invite us to touch into the qualities of faith and confidence on this path as we move through life on the cushion and during our daily activities.

Bart van Melik will be offering teachings about the guiding power of wise intention, the delight of letting go, and on how we can befriend challenging emotions and circumstances.

An optional daily session of mindful movement will be offered by Sabra Saperstein

It will consist of talks, guided meditations and Q&A.

Fees:
For this course, sliding scale fees are $160, $260, or $400. We also offer a scholarship fee of $80, and no-fee enrollment for those who request a fee-waiver. A note on dana (generosity)
Most IMS teachers—like insight teachers around the world—rely on the generosity of students for their livelihood, and receive no compensation from course fees. All IMS online teachers receive a modest dana advance from IMS to guarantee a minimum level of financial support. (Click here to learn more about the dana practice.) There will be an opportunity to offer a contribution to your teachers at the end of this course.
