Yoga for Bone Health is a targeted practice developed by Dr. Loren Fishman, MD. It is designed to maintain a healthy skeleton, strengthen posture, and improve balance. Students will be introduced to Dr. Fishman’s Yoga for Bone Health method, so that they can establish their own home practice to maintain and improve bone health. Specific attention will be given to the spine and hips, where the risk of fractures is the greatest. In addition to learning the technical aspects of the yoga postures, students will also work toward gaining more strength, flexibility, and balance, which will improve their overall range of motion. Simple breath work will be incorporated to teach proper hold times and calm the nervous system.

In order to improve the quality of your livestream, do the following:
  • Put devices you are not using to stream class on airplane mode 
  • If you are using WIFI, keep your streaming device as close to your modem as possible 
  • If your stream quality does not improve using these ‘hacks’ you may need to call your provider to reset your modem
