Kim Adrian
Kim discovered yoga more than twenty years ago. Over that time, her practice became her bedrock as she raised her two children, published four books of creative nonfiction, and managed the lingering after-effects childhood trauma. She's found time and again that even a very short practice can give her more patience, cheerfulness, energy, and clarity. She teaches in order to help her students access similar benefits.
With thoughtful sequencing and precise verbal cues, Kim helps students understand the architecture of each pose as it manifests in their own bodies. In her classes and private lessons, she creates a warm and inclusive environment where curiosity, honesty, and experimentation can come out to play while things like perfectionism and negative self-talk take a nap.
Kim received both her 200-hour Teacher Training and 300-hour Advanced Teacher Training at Down Under School of Yoga. Outside of yoga, Kim is a writer. You can find information about her books, essays, and short stories at kimadrian.com.
