Kim Adrian

Kim discovered yoga more than twenty years ago. Over that time, her practice helped her raise two children, write three books, and manage the after-effects childhood trauma. Her primary goal as a yoga teacher is to help her students access similar benefits: a steadier, more resilient nervous system, increased equanimity, and freer access to joy. Her approach to teaching asana (physical poses) is alignment-oriented, but at the same time her cues illuminate the actions of the subtle body (the complex flow of energy hidden within). In her classes and private lessons, Kim creates a warm and inclusive environment where curiosity, honesty, and experimentation come out to play while things like perfectionism and negative self-talk take a nap.

Kim received both her 200-hour Teacher Training and 300-hour Advanced Teacher Training at Down Under School of Yoga. She is currently studying Yoga for Brain Longevity through the Alzheimer's Research and Prevention Foundation. Important teachers and mentors include: Kate O’Donnell, Rich Ray, Patricia Walden, Masaaki Okamura, and Barbara Benaugh. In addition to being a yoga teacher, Kim is also a writer.
