Prenatal Yoga | {Four Agreements 2 of 4} Take Anything Personally

We set our intention for this class on the second of the Four Agreements from the book by Don Miguel Ruiz. In this book, a practical guide to personal freedom, the second agreement is, “don’t take anything personally.” Yoga is a practice of self study, where we practice ways of engaging with our own thoughts, deeds, and actions so that we can demonstrate these with others. We work on reflecting on the second agreement throughout this practice. Nothing others do is because of you. When you are immune to the opinion and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering. 

Bringing attention to our breath, our heart center, and our baby, class begins with gentle seated and kneeling stretched to warm the body. It progresses to include a seated and standing sequence perfectly suited for pregnancy that strengthens and stretches the upper body, hips and pelvis. We close the class with guided meditation and breath practice. This well-rounded practice will leave you feeling both grounded and uplifted.
