Prenatal Yoga | What's Showing Up for You?
Often during pregnancy, unexpected emotional and spiritual issues can arise. These feeling may be uncomfortable at first, but can help you prepare for your new role as a mother (again) or how to be a better parent to your child(ren). Examples of things that may come up for you include battles of control, challenges of patience, or issues of trust. As you practice today and even beyond this practice, take time to pause and consider, what is showing up for you right now? And in what ways could that be preparing you for parenthood?
Class begins with cleansing breaths to powerfully release any built up tension in the body. We move into a spine-warming sequence using side-body openers to activate the blissful chakras and spinal flexes. Class ends with lower body stretches for the hips and hamstrings, and a juicy restorative, reclining side-body stretch.
Suggested props: 2 blocks, blanket, bolster/cushion
