When it's Cold outside, we warm within. Slow Flow: A practice honoring warmth + connection

Aired -

1h 17m
A slower based Vinyasa practice with rhythmic movement, longer holds and mindfulness, benefitting overall emotional and physical wellbeing. Classes include postures, breath work, meditation and other aspects of yoga for a well-rounded experience.

In this slow flow vinyasa class, we will begin grounding - connecting to the breath + allowing our bodies to connect to the Earth beneath us. The intention throughout today’s class is to use the props (blanket + bolster + blocks) to help leverage deep comfort within. We will slow our Vinyasa practice down, while still creating heat within to support our muscles and joints amidst the chillier winter weather (depending on where you are joining us from)!

Props: One bolster, 2 blocks, one blanket

Poses:
We will take postures like lizard lunge + low twisted crescent lunge to help open into our hips and spine. We will also focus on lengthening through the hamstrings through standing wide leg forward fold. We will wind down class coming back to the Earth, grounding in breath and ending where we began - savasana.
