The Ancient practice of Devatā Yoga uses the symbolism of the Vedic Gods and Goddesses as a means of helping practitioners realize and actualize what the tradition calls our 'innate Divine potential.'

On each week of this series, we will focus on one Deity. We will begin the week on Tuesday, teaching the chanting of a specific Gāyatrī Mantra and using it in both the Āsana & Prāṇāyāma that we practice. The Friday class will continue chanting the same Gāyatrī Mantra, though using a different combination of Āsana & Prāṇāyāma than we used on Tuesday.

During the following Sunday's meditation class, I will introduce teachings about the particular Deity that is the personification of the Gāyatrī Mantra we used on the prior Tuesday and Friday. Then I will introduce enough teachings about the process of Devatā Yoga to support your meditative experience on that Deity. In this way, each week we will work with a different Deity, each representing a different aspect of Human Potential. Three guided practice sessions for each Deity will give you enough experience to support your own ongoing practice.
