krama inhale, strictly floor

Aired -

58m
In this class, we will not do any standing poses - all poses will be done on the mat, either lying, sitting, or kneeling. We will focus on extending the inhale by segmenting it (krama) and also holding after inhale.

As always, we will emphasize linking breath to movement: using the breath to support and enhance movement, to energize, to de-stress, to refresh. Poses are repeated several times, setting up a gentle rhythm which warms up the muscles and joints and makes it safer to hold poses for several breaths.

One of the key facets of Viniyoga is adapting poses for each individual practitioner:  getting the pose into the person, not the person into the pose!  Although this is a group class, alternatives will be offered if a pose is not appropriate for you. I am happy to tailor each class to the needs and desires of attendees, so come ready with your requests!
