Mary Shull
A naturally curious person, Mary began to explore yogic philosophy as a suburban Philadelphia teen. Transferring colleges from Temple to the University of Pittsburgh brought her to the city, where she built a life, home and family. Asana practice came later, via early aught Gaiam DVDs and ashtanga classes at the local gym. After her two young children entered school, Mary worked for over a decade as a community organizer and volunteered at several Pittsburgh Public Schools. It wasn’t until her forties, as her kids were graduating from high school, that Mary committed to a deeper study and practice of yoga’s eight limbs. Mary completed One Point One’s year-long 200-hour yoga training in 2022. She is continuing her 300-hour study with One Point One, particularly interested in children and community care.
IN MY CLASS, EXPECT: Fun, breathwork, garden metaphors, physical touch with consent, a love of sound and silence, laughter, humming, creative free-association and efforts to find grounding and fluidity...all are welcome!
