Seasonal Balance with Ayurveda: Spring with Rachael Freedman

Ayurveda, translated from Sanskrit, means the “science of life.” It is the world's oldest form of medicine dating back to India 5,000 years ago, and is still practiced today, in India and around the world. The main goal of Ayurveda is to bring yourself back into balance through diet, lifestyle and other health practices (including yoga), so that you can live a healthy life feeling your best. As the seasons shift, so do our bodies and minds. Ayurveda offers profound diet and lifestyle recommendations that support ultimate health through the seasonal shifts.

This workshop with Rachael Freedman, Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner and Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 200, RYT 500), will take you through the journey as we move from the Winter season to the Spring season. As Spring dawns, we celebrate Mother awakening from a dormant winter. Flowers start to blossom, and we are filled with more energy and excitement. It’s time to start eating those spring veggies and fruits.

This is part of a series of four workshops that are offered at the transitions between the seasons. Each workshop will provide dietary and self-care practices that will best support you to optimize your health and well-being, and to maintain balance and a peaceful mind. You may register for all four annual workshops at once for a discounted rate, or for only one at a time. Seasonal recipes are included!
