Teachers and students can thrive in the midst of stress with the support of UZIT. Join Valerie Yee Jew and Jennifer Gebhart, longtime, experienced UZITs, as they discuss their work in different school environments and ways to collaborate with administrators, teachers and students.

Included in the workshop will be two UZIT practices putting theory into action:
a UZIT practice for elementary, middle, and high school students (language and delivery of lessons)

is a UZIT and would like to expand their UZIT offerings in schools,
is not a UZIT and wants to understand the benefits of UZIT sessions and how they can be applied in school environments
Teacher Bios
Valerie Yee Jew
Valerie Yee Jew: Valerie is a certified UZIT practitioner and a Reiki Master working in the Bay Area near Oakland, California. During the latter part of her 27-year career as a public-school teacher she completed her UZIT training and became a mentor for multiple trainings at UCLA Medical Center serving doctors, nurses, and other staff members. Noticing similar symptoms of fatigue, depression, burnout, and insomnia in the medical field and in education, she focused on UZIT in schools. Through a grant funded by Kaiser Permanente, she offers UZIT classes for teachers, staff, students, and administrators in Oakland Unified. She serves as a UZIT practitioner at Alta Bates Summit Hospital on the acute rehab floors working one on one with patients, currently weekly online sessions. She has expanded her community outreach in a Community Reiki Clinic where clients receive UZIT modalities during private sessions. This clinic offers affordable healthcare so teachers, and other compromised communities, can benefit from sessions outside of school or work environments. Valerie embraces diversity and underserved communities and the opportunities she is afforded to bring UZIT practices for the support and well-being of all.
Jennifer Gebhart
Jennifer Gebhart:Jenn Gebhart is a certified UZIT practitioner and mentor, an experienced E-RYT 500 and YACEP Registered Yoga Alliance Teacher, a Reiki Master and Trainer, as well as a Neuro-Somatic Intelligence Coach. For six years, she provided UZIT services at Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center and the James Cancer Hospital, supporting patients, staff, and caregivers. Additionally, she introduced UZIT in several public schools, working with staff and students, as well as in corporate environments. Jenn is deeply passionate about supporting others in improving both their physical and mental well-being, so they can live their fullest lives. Through her work, she has seen first-hand how UZIT practices help reduce anxiety, stress, and burnout, promoting overall health and vitality.
