Strong & Slow + Sound Bath

-

at North Winooski Studio (237 North Winooski Avenue Burlington, VT 05401)

Strong & Slow is a mindful and nourishing practice that combines accessible yoga postures with breath and intentional transitions for a well-rounded practice. With a slower pace, there’s time to explore individual postures so that new students can build confidence and familiarity, while more experienced students can refine alignment and explore deeper sensations. Strong & Slow is great for students looking to build strength and flexibility by slowing down, moving mindfully but powerfully, and breathing deeply.

This class ends with deep relaxation accompanied by the soothing and healing vibrations of singing bowls. What’s a sound bath?

“In general, a sound bath is a meditative experience where those in attendance are “bathed” in sound waves. These waves are produced by various sources, including healing instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, percussion, chimes, rattles, tuning forks, and even the human voice itself” - verywellmind.com

Everyone is welcome in this class.

Not a member? All of our drop-in classes are donation-based! When you sign up, you’ll see the option to ‘choose your own donation’. This is for both our drop-in rates and membership! At Sangha Studio, one of our core values is accessibility and this includes financial accessibility. We want everyone to be able to practice yoga no matter what! Our suggested donation for a drop-in class is $13 and a membership is $80, but always pay what works for you and truly mean that!

Wondering where your class payment and membership goes? Your funds help to support:
  • Our mission in action through financially accessible pricing and ensuring that we always remain a donation-based studio where everyone is welcome, always
  • Specialized programs and affinity spaces for specific populations like the LGBTQIA2S+ community, those in larger bodies, BIPOC folks, and the accessible yoga community
  • Scholarships for longer-term programs such as teacher trainings and retreats
  • Equitable teacher compensation for our drop-in teachers at all of our locations
  • Administrative support and overhead costs to ensure that our doors remain open everyday (both online + in-person)
