Moving Queerly: Pleasure Practice for Pride

Moving Queerly: Pleasure Practice for Pride

This community event will be a space for queer and LGBTQ+ individuals to honor their pleasure as a sacred and radical practice. We will focus on slow, indulgent movement to care for our bodies, emphasizing organic movement and heart-opening poses, followed by a self-massage guided by devon kerry of breath and bone somatic therapy. We will finish with an extended Savasana and community time. Earth and Salt apothecary items will be available to purchase after our practice, including body-safe candles, root-grounding oil, etc. My goal is to have you leave feeling connected to our beautiful community, relaxed, in-tune with your body, and empowered to prioritize your full spectrum of pleasure on a daily basis.

About Nico

My name is Nico Walton, I am a Trans-Masc Individual and a pleasure activist. My passion is creating welcoming and safe spaces for marginalized individuals to explore the numerous facets of pleasure. Teaching Asana is one way I honor the transformative force of pleasure, and another is my work through Earth and Salt, an adult-toy store in Burlington.Nothing brings me more joy than encouraging people to take their pleasure seriously, as it is not just an important personal practice, but one that can also influence our community and our activism work for the better.

This includes financial accessibility. We want everyone to practice yoga no matter what! Our suggested donation is $10-$15, but always pay what works for you!

Ever wonder where your donation goes? Your donation helps to support:
  • Our mission in action through financially accessible pricing and ensuring that we always remain a donation-based studio where everyone is welcome
  • Specialized programs for specific populations like the LGBTQIA+ community, those affected by traumatic brain injuries and the accessible yoga community
  • Scholarship positions for studio memberships, workshops and trainings
  • Equitable teacher compensation
  • Administrative support
