Compaction & Expansion
Sometimes we feel a lack or scarcity of power, and sometimes we feel an over-abundance of it. Expansive open poses help us spread our physical, emotional, and mental attention outwards, while compact, closed postures help us reign our attention inwards. In this workshop, we will look at both categories of asanas and learn how to manage our energy--learning how and when to gather in and contain and when to open up and let go.
This is an Iyengar yoga workshop—if you are not familiar with Iyengar yoga, the Iyengar methodology, or Lara's teaching, please reach out to either Lara ([email protected]) or Jen ([email protected]) prior to registering. This is not a Kula Flow or vinyasa yoga class. It is not appropriate for students brand new to yoga or to Iyengar yoga.Thank you!
