Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) Workshop

In this 2 hour workshop, there will be a 45 minute TCTSY flow style session to experience this modality of care, followed by a 1 hour presentation on the core components of TCTSY which includes trauma theory, attachment theory and neuroscience as well as TCTSY's yoga underpinnings. There will be time for some Q&A as well. This workshop is for everyone, regardless of yoga experience.

Mindy Levine has been a student of yoga for twenty years and teaching since 2009 with thousands of continuing education hours in various modalities. She has co-directed 200hr teacher trainings at House of Jai Yoga Studio in NYC, specializing in trauma information. Mindy is certified as a TCTSY-F (Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator), an empirically validated, evidenced based modality used as adjunctive care for complex trauma. She volunteers her time as a crisis counselor with Crisis Text Line and facilitates support with NYC Covid Care Network. Whether sharing time in a TCTSY session or teaching a sweaty vinyasa flow, Mindy holds space for sustained curiosity and exploration through movement.
