Vinyasa is a flowing, dynamic yoga practice that cultivates presence by connecting movement with breath. Most classes feature several elements of traditional Ashtanga yoga—including sun salutations, standing poses, preparation for arm balances, dynamic stretching, and pranayama (breathwork). Our diverse family of teachers creatively sequence these elements to reflect their unique personalities while building heat, exploring energy and intention, and fostering greater self-awareness. This practice will build your inner and outer strength, improve your balance, and reduce stress while increasing vitality and athleticism. Classes labeled “1-2” define and align the key components of a traditional and modern yoga practice, including weight-bearing on the wrists, transitions, and muscular movements. Classes labeled “2” and “2-3” explore more complex movements, including arm balances layered over solid foundations, inversions, deep backbends, twists, and hip openers.
