Yoga for Bone Health and Healthy Aging
Yoga for Bone Health is a targeted practice developed by Dr. Loren Fishman, MD. It is designed to maintain a healthy skeleton, strengthen posture, and improve balance. Students will be introduced to Dr. Fishman’s method so that they can establish their own routine to maintain and improve bone health. Specific attention will be given to the spine and hips, where the risk of fractures is greatest. In addition to learning the technical aspects of the yoga postures, students will also work toward gaining more strength, flexibility, and balance. Simple breath work will be incorporated to teach proper hold times and to calm the nervous system.
For this class you will need the following props:

- Yoga mat
- 2-4 high density foam yoga blocks
- 8ft yoga strap
- Yoga blanket or beach towel
In order to improve the quality of your livestream, do the following:
- Put devices you are not using to stream class on airplane mode
- If you are using WIFI, keep your streaming device as close to your modem as possible
- If your stream quality does not improve using these ‘hacks’ you may need to call your provider to reset your modem
